"I have worked for Tender Care Learning Centers in Hampton for almost eight years. My time here has flown by watching the infants grow into preschoolers. I have watched them take their first step, comforted them when they were sad, and listened to their first words. I hope my babies know that I have loved them and hope that I have touched their hearts in some way, as they have most definitely touched mine!"

Whitehall Teacher Testimonial

I have worked at Tender Care for 12 years, my whole adult life, and I would not change this opportunity for anything. I have enjoyed working in all of the classrooms, as I was a three year old teacher before I had my own daughter, and have worked in prek and school age since. I love working with the older children and watching then grow and develop and prepare for school. I love when my students outgrow the program and come back to visit, it shows that I have impacted them in some way. I enjoy the staff that I work with, I look at them as family and friends rather than coworkers. I am grateful that we are offered many benefits at this job and that it is affordable. I used to say that this job was just temporary until I had my own children but now my daughter is 7, and Tender Care is home to me.

Over my five years at Tender Care I have been able to watch those who started as infants grow to graduate from our PreK program. It always astounds me to think about how much these children have grown over their years here. A large part of that growth is due to a wonderful staff who help and support each other as much as possible. Everyone really tries to be flexible and work together to make each day better than the previous one. The warm, fun, and energetic atmosphere helps each day be exciting, different, and unique. We are always so proud of how much each child learns in our care, but in reality we learn just as much from them and each other.

I learned about Tender Care when I was in college, and needed to complete observation and practicum hours. The management and staff always made me feel welcome and were very flexible with me. Shortly after graduation, I applied with Tender Care and accepted a position as a prek teacher. The Whitehall school has made me feel like family. Management is very understanding, kind and always go above and beyond to fit my schedule. The staff is very friendly, caring and they all bring a positive attitude to the work environment. I have enjoyed my career here at Tender Care, and I highly recommended this company to early educators!

After observing in a daycare during college and working at two different centers, I can say that Tender Care is my favorite. The management treats you like family and creates a caring environment, which you typically don’t get in a work setting. They are flexible and understanding when different things come up in life and are always willing to work around schedules. The center itself is very clean and organized with children’s work displayed on the walls. All the staff members are welcoming and are friends outside of work. Tender Care is a positive environment to work in and I would recommend to all :)

I have been employed with Tender Care Learning Center for over 6 years and my time at work is always enjoyable. The staff is friendly to the children and each other. If I ever had a conflict with scheduling, the other staff would always be willing to help. We’ve creating such a close family at work that we became friends outside the classroom, too. The directors treat both the staff and parents with respect. They provide a caring and pleasant work environment. The center is always colorful and clean. The teachers do a great job at updating and changing the children’s artwork in each classroom. I think Tender Care is an amazing place to work. I have, and will, continue to recommend the center for parents and future teachers!
